Just a tip:
If you have beets for dinner (which I highly recommend for those of you who aren't familiar with this underappreciated vegetable) remember that you did, so the next morning when you take a crap you'll be expecting it to be blood red and you won't think your rectum exploded.
Just sayin'.

Bleck! I hate beets, they taste like dirt.
That is a most excellent: Note to Self.
Thank you.
Love beets.
They are dee-lish!
I had never eaten them much until I got together with The Spousal Unit. She loves 'em and now I do too. I cooked them out on the grill while I was grilling chicken breasts for dinner. They were excellent. But I did fear for my urinary health until I remembered about having eaten them. At 5:30 in the morning, red pee will throw you for a minute.
Okay, the, "red pee at 5:30.." just made me spit a little.
Yeah.
That'd get me everytime, too.
Grilling beets? Never would have occured to me. Sounds tasty.
Your beloved Sabres are 9-0, and you're writing about beets and red pee?
anonymous- don't talk about the Sabres record, you will jinx them for sure. Of course, I've already jinxed them because I took Ryan Miller for my goalie this week in Fantasy Hockey.
PG- The grilling was a good idea. I just wrapped them in foil, sort of like a baked potato and put 'em on the grill for about 45 minutes. I like to keep the skins on and I also steam the leaves and stems and put balsamic vinegar on them. YUM!
ANON- Yep they are. 2nd best record to start a season in NHL history. But between you and Zoe they're gonna lose for sure now. Thanks. Thanks so very fucking much.
Listen, they weren't going 82-0 anyway, so get the 1st loss out of the way and move one. Just, for Christ's sake, this year beat the Canes.
Speaking of beets, I'm with Zoe, they're awful. I never eat them.
And now I have to find another explanation for my red urine.
Who cooks more, Phollower of Sylvia?
Phollower cooks almost exclusively. And there are 2 good reasons for that:
#1 I can
#2 She can't
I also enjoy cooking and Sylvia, well, not so much.
