Like, I am totally having the most stressful day. Ok, the day itself isn't that stressful. I'm just at work. But tonight I have a softball game, soomething I stress about to no end, and immediately following that is the Sabres Game 7, which I have been chewing my nails over for a day and a half already.
Why do I worry about these things? The softball league is a co-ed recreational league and we got bumped into a higher division than we deserve to be in so we're fully expecting to get creamed most games. I can generally get through a game without embarassing myself too badly and yet my heart pounds and my hands sweat. I did get new cleats and a new batting glove so I've got that going for me, which is nice.
And the Sabres game? Why am I stressed? I can't do anything about it. I mean besides trying to figure out the right Sabres hat and Sabres shirt combo that will provide the most luck under these circumstances. That's right, I can take a situation I have no control over and cause myself to worry about making the appropriate decision that will get my team into the Stanley Cup.

Ohmigod you think you're nervious, I have to watch helplessly in the dug-out because of my stupid jammed finger. I hate it when I know I can't go in and play. Does it make you more nervous knowing that I won't be in center field, or maybe you feel more confident about winning now?

ohmigawd! So, how'd it turn out for you?

By the way. Just picturing you saying, 'ohmigod,' like a blonde hair valley girl, good stuff.

Zoe- I'm pretty sure we didn't stand a chance against that team no matter who we had. Fuck that shortstop was huge. His arms were bigger around than my head.

PG- Yesterday was shitty all around. Softball and hockey. Crap.
