Do you ever...?

...get the feeling that you've made some lousy career decisions? For basically my entire life I've worked in jobs that are more or less customer service jobs. I worked for about 9 years in the meat & seafood departments of several supermarkets, I've done some collections (maybe customer service isn't quite the right departmental term for that), and now I do the purchasing and shipping for a small computer store but a large part of my day is still spent answering phones and waiting on customers at the counter. I'm not trying to put down customer service jobs it's just that I've been doing them for so long and I really don't like people very much. I'm just not a people person. I do a good job, good enough at least, but I dream of the day when I don't need to deal with others so often. I have a feeling there are plenty who dream of the day when they can deal with me a little less as well.

Yeah, I can't wait for that day either. Wait, I mean customers suck.

I've got a similar job history. I hear ya brotha'!! I think you're better at your jobs than you think you are though. Just thank goodness the customers can't read your mind.

Yea Phollower! For anyone who sees this check out Joefish's blog. He held a Haiku contest and I was the big winner of 500 Blogexplosion credits. If anyone can tell me what that is and what I can do with the credits I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll have to see if I can figure it out on my own and I ain't too bright.
