There's a guy here at "work" who has a speech impediment. He kinda mumbles and stutters and sometimes mixes up words and letters or whatever. It's not terrible, you just have to listen closely to him and once in a while say, "What?" He's aware of the situation and is even willing to joke about it and take a little ribbing.
The other day he was telling me about someone who got arrested for pilfering something but when he told the story he said,
"...and the guy got arrested for fetht."
And I said, "He got arrested for what?"
And he said, "Stealing stuff."
Cracked me right up.
