Does this make me a bad person?

There may be plenty of other things that make me a bad person but I'm considering this one in particular:

If there was a burning building, or some other disaster type scenario, and I had the choice of rescuing a complete stranger or my dog, I'd grab the dog. Everytime. If the person were a family member or a friend or something I'd save them (and hate myself for letting my dog die) but a dog I love ranks above a human who I don't know.

The moral of this story: Either be nice to me or don't count on me if the dogs are involved.

I say, not a bad person because I'd do the same thing. I wuv my widdle boy, and I could totally see myself risking dying of smoke inhalation to save him :)

A child I might, (and I emphasize might), grab first. The adults are in line behind my dog.

Don't feel guilty. If that makes you a bad person then I too am a bad person. I agree with limpy though...there's a possibility I would save a child first but the adults can save them damn selves, I'm busy rescuing my dog.

I guess the long and the short of this is, if I'm a bad person I'm in good company. I can live with that. I'll see you all in hell.

I don't think that makes you a bad person. It makes you a person who is going to go to hell for saving a dog over a person, but it doesn't make you a bad person.

I will also be standing next to you. If it comes down to Sadie the Seven Pound Wonder Dog and the smelly stranger next to me...Sadie will always win.
